While conceding Saturday's encounter will be tough, Warnock is optimistic he will get a good reception from United's faithful.
"I've always got a decent reception from the Blades fans, but it's probably wearing a bit thin now!" he told the club's official website.
"But in all seriousness, it's a great day out for me.
"I've got a lot of family and friends up there, so it will be an emotional occasion. We'll go there looking to win the game."
