The Seagulls boss has dismissed reports that he has held talks about taking the Rangers striker to the Withdean Stadium.
"I've not spoken to him and I've got plenty of names on my list," Poyet told The Argus.
"I'm not saying definitely 'no, he's not coming' but we are interested in many things.
"If he wants to come for free, we'll take him!"
