Trio linked with Hoops move

Shaun Wright-Phillips, David Bentley and Joe Cole are all being linked with a move to Neil Warnock's QPR following the club's takeover. The QPR boss suddenly finds himself with money to spend following the takeover at the club by Tony Fernandes and time is running out for him to spend it with the window shutting in just over a week's time. Wright-Phillips does not appear to feature in Manchester City's plans, while the same goes for David Bentley at Spurs and Joe Cole at Liverpool, although the latter's wage demands may make any move doubtful."We will not just spend money for the sake of it," said Warnock. "We have to get quality players in to the club."Joe Cole? We can probably afford 30 or 40 per cent of his wages now. The chairman knows all my targets and we are discussing them."This man coming in, Tony Fernandes, is a dream come true. You do not often get the opportunity to look at players I have only dreamed about. I am in Utopia."
