Branco (22) is available on a free transfer following his summer release from German Bundesliga side Stuttgart.

The Cameroonian came on as a second-half substitute in Rangers' recent friendly with Ajax at Loftus Road and did not look out of place, earning him a second chance to impress Ian Holloway on Tuesday evening against Bristol Rovers.

The offensive midfielder is a former Frankfurt player and was valued in Germany at 900,000 Euro's before the end of the season, despite only playing 3 times for Stuttgart's first team.

Failing to impress he was moved to the amateur set-up at the club, making 7 appearances and rejecting a new deal in favour of a move to England.

Ollie is the first British club manager to offer the player a trial with a view to a permanent position. Rangers lack a creative midfielder but while saying that our first priority must be to strengthen the defence.

Jon Olaf Hjelde is also being offered a second chance to impress this week. The former Forest star is training with Rangers and will take to the field against Rovers on Tuesday.
