Thinking It Over

Georges Santos is today thinking over a move to Loftus Road despite playing for Ipswich in a friendly match tonight at Oxford.

Rangers representatives met Santos’ agent last night to discuss a move to West London. The Frenchman has been given permission by Town boss Joe Royle to leave on a free transfer, with Rangers, Stoke and Burnley all tracking the utility player.

33-year old Santos is favouring a move to W12 and the R’s officials are still brokering a deal for the former Marseille apprentice as he meet’s up with his team-mates for a pre-season friendly.

With the emergence of two quality young centre-half’s at Portman Road, Santos has been squeezed out, and whilst the Suffolk club can enjoy a wealth in the defenders, Rangers are struggling to find two capable of playing in the Championship.

Royle yesterday confirmed the talks but nothing has been said by Rangers about the move. QPR MAD will keep you updated with the latest news regarding Georges Santos’ move to Loftus Road.
