He appeared at Greenwich Magistrates Court today and was remanded in custody. He will appear at the Old Bailey tomorrow (Friday) for a bail hearing.
The Club has co-operated fully with the Metropolitan Police during their investigation and will continue to do so.
The Club has also been in regular contact with the PFA throughout.
The Club will be making no further comment at this time.
