Danny Shittu came through 45 minutes unscathed in Rangers' most recent reserve game. In his first match practice for 7 weeks the giant defender started at home in centre back and looked assured in the heart of the rangers rear guard.
He will now focus his attentions on Saturday's first team fixture at home to table toppers Plymouth Argyle in what looks to be a sizzling encounter between the top-two.
Richard Pacquette scored the R's goal, equalising after Palace had taken the lead through a first half penalty.
The Rangers team included 3 trialists and youngsters.
