R's head for Scotland

Ian Holloway and his QPR squad have arrived in Scotland for their two-game tour of the Scottish highlands.

Rangers started their pre-season preparations just over a week ago on Monday July 5th and following a week of rigorous fitness tests and training, Ollie is ready to see how his boys get on against two Scottish outfits.

First up tomorrow night (7.45pm) the R’s will tackle non-league Nairn County at Station Park and on Saturday (3pm), Rangers will travel to newly promoted SPL side Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The Superhoops have lost three key defenders from last season’s promotion side and with the signing of Lee Cook to boost the midfield it will be interesting to see how the side lines up- if Ollie decides to field a 1st X1. Owing to the fact that, as of last week Arthur Gnohere had not turned up for pre-season training, and Danny Shittu still a while of a return in competitive football, the starting backline should be full of youth.

So with a patched up defence and a strong looking midfield all battling for places come the start of the new Championship, QPR MAD is finding it increasingly difficult hazard any kind of guess as to who will start where.

We shall bring you news and reports on both pre-season matches as and when we hear it. You can learn a little more about our tour opposition, starting with Nairn County by visiting the "Would you go to..." and "The Oppositions View" on the left hand side of the navigational screen. Inverness Caledonian Thistle details will appear 24 hours after the Nairn game.
