Leaders QPR have lost only one of their last 14 league matches. Another win would take boss Neil Warnock a step closer to his goal of another crack at Premier League management - and send his former club a step closer to League One.
Still smarting from Sheffield United's controversial relegation under him in 2007, lifelong Blades fan Warnock is desperate to work in the top flight again before his retirement.
He is on course to do so, thanks partly to another former United man, goalkeeper Paddy Kenny, who has conceded only 23 league goals this season and kept an unrivalled 21 clean sheets. On Monday the Republic of Ireland international is set to make his 450th league appearance.
While Rangers close in on the title, United are in the bottom three, have lost 11 of their 17 Championship games since Christmas, and have suffered five consecutive away defeats. But they have won two of their last three games.
