Delighted QPR manager Ian Holloway described his side's 4-1 win at promotion rivals Hartlepool as "a good day at the office".

Paul Furlong opened the scoring three minutes into the second half with a fine finish from a tight angle and Kevin Gallen slotted the ball home from close range soon afterwards.

Furlong made it 3-0 after 74 minutes when he collected a long ball and scored from another tight angle and Martin Rowlands tapped the ball home from five yards for the fourth goal.

Holloway said: "That was a good day at the office. The game was always going to be harder than the scoreline makes it look and we played well.

"We took our chances well - it's good to see them going in at last." Ian Holloway was full of praise for young keeper Lee Camp and Matthew Rose after QPR's 4-1 win at Hartlepool.
"The lad in goal had a good game," the Queens Park Rangers manager said of the 19-year-old loan signing from Derby.

"He's only a young kid, but he showed an awful lot of promise and I thought he kept us in it in the first half.

"If I had to single out anyone, I would choose Matthew Rose. He still isn't 100% fit, but I thought he was phenomenal," Holloway added.
