Speaking to the official website, Holloway said:
“Tore is an absolutely outstanding player with over a decade of top flight and international experience and naturally we would love to get him here.
“But we know he will attract interest from elsewhere and that getting a player of his quality is a real 100-1 shot.
“We are shooting for the stars here but there is nothing wrong with us trying to bring in the very best players available.
“We have done all we can to persuade Tore that QPR is a great club to be part of, but we fully respect that he will need to take time before he can make any decision on his future.
“He has his family to think about and plenty to sort out. All we can do now is wait and see what happens.”
