QPR chief executive David Davies has confirmed that he will start contract talks with Ian Holloway as soon as possible.

The Hoops' return to the first division was confirmed at the weekend and Davies is keen to secure the manager's future at Loftus Road.

Davies also knows that 14 players are now out of contract and wants to start discussions about their futures immediately.

"We have been planning for next season for some time now, but contract discussions had been put to one side while everyone focused on securing promotion," he told the club's official website.

"Nevertheless, now this season is over, we are looking forward to sitting down with Ian and discussing new contracts.

"We want to resolve the situation as soon as possible and ensure that we give ourselves the best possible chance of making a real go of it in Division One next season."
