But the former Sheffield United boss says he has had no contact with QPR himself and that he would have a tough decision to make if a deal between the clubs is done.
"If they reach agreement it doesn't mean that anything automatically follows," he said.
"I would still have a decision to make. Nothing is cut and dried."
