"As soon as we are safe I'll give him another year," said Paladini.
"I wanted someone who could work with Gary Waddock.
"I wanted Gary to stay - and he said Gregory was the man for us.
"John and I go back a long way. I found him a very colourful character. He makes his point straight to the players and he will tell them exactly what he wants.
"We are very lucky to have him until the end of the season. It is a challenge for him and I know he will accept it."
