Martin Rowlands Exclusive

Last updated : 24 March 2009 By Liam Osborne

Martin Rowlands has backed Rangers boss Paulo Sousa to succeed at the club and insisted that managers are dismissed too easily in today's game.

Speaking to soccerx.co.uk, Martin said:

"People aren't as patient as they maybe used to be. Managers come and go a lot more than they used to".

"I would like to see managers given more time and try to make things more successful over time, because nothing comes too quickly. People have to build something".

And the Rangers skipper has enjoyed Sousa's first few months at the helm.

"He's got a continental way of approaching things and he's very tactically aware. We learn something new every day from new managers and different people. It can only be good to learn more throughout your career".

Meanwhile, Rowlands has admitted that the R's will need to win all of their remaining league games to reach the play-offs.

"It's not out of reach until it's mathematically impossible. obviously it's going to be very difficult, we're probably going to have to win all of our games, but you never right it off".
