Magilton - A Poor Dismissal

Watson had only just returned to the side following a one game ban for two bookable ofences in the game against Swansea earlier this month.

The Rangers midfielder was again dismissed for two bookable offences just 30 minutes into the 4-1 win at Loftus Road on Tuesday night.

"It was a poor sending-off," Magilton said after the match.

"It's the letter of the law but common sense must prevail. We are all grown men."

On the overall display of the team, Magilton said: "We passed the ball fantastically well at times.

"The players have raised the bar again tonight but you don't win anything in October so I'm not getting carried away.

"The old adage that you play as you train has never been truer.

"We work very hard in the week and we're producing on matchdays, so I'm delighted."

Reading's defeat as left their manager Brendan Rodgers in a perilous position and Magilton offered his sympathy to the Royals boss.

"It's horrendous. I've been there, and I was ninth in the table at the time," he added.

"I have a great deal of sympathy for him because you have to take the brunt of it, and you have to carry the can and he'll be up all night thinking about it."
