Luzhny & Rebrov Linked

Oleg Luzhny and Sergei Rebrov have both been strongly linked with a move to Loftus Road and are both currently without a club.

Luzhny was released by Championship rivals Wolves at the end of there Premiership season. The Ukrainian captain also enjoyed a two-year spell at Arsenal where he helped the club to win the double.

Luzhny now 34 can play as a right-back or centre half if called upon.

Meanwhile, Sergei Rebrov, who has been training with West Ham, has been invited to join Rangers’ pre-season preparations with Luzhny as the club can take a closer look at two possible new signings.

Should the R’s take their interest a step closer, both will be offered maximum 1-year deals and will be on massively reduced wages to what there used too. Both players have expressed their wish to stay in England, despite Rebrov playing for Fenerbache in Turkey for the past year on loan from Tottenham.

His big money deal (£11million) from Dynamo Kiev to Spurs was seen as a huge flop after the diminutive striker failed to impress and new management saw him surplus to requirements. Since then the player has worked overtime to gain the sharpness that once saw him as one of the top European strikers.

QPR MAD understands the new Rangers board is keen to inject some much-needed experience and one or two "big-name" signings to help bolster the squad ahead of the challenge of Championship football.

Should the Superhoops pull of these two coups’ it will no doubt boost the ego of the club and hopefully not break an already poor bank balance.

QPR MAD will bring you the latest as and when we hear it, if it is pure nonsense and made up speculation- we’ll let you know.
