In-form Routledge gears up for the boo boys

Wayne Routledge, who was today named in the Championship team of the week, will be hoping to push on against former club Cardiff City on Wednesday night.

The pint-sized winger was one of few bright sparks in an otherwise uninspiring Rangers performance against Ipswich on saturday evening.

And he is sure to receive a frosty reception from the home supporters, after chosing to join Rangers ahead of Cardiff, despite spending time on-loan with the Welsh club earlier this season.

The Bluebirds go into the fixture as favourites, having won seven and drawn five of their last twelve league games. They've not lost at Ninian Park in the Championship since the 1-0 defeat to Wolves in November, while their only other home defeat was a narrow 2-1 loss to Birmingham.

Rangers meanwhile, who are unbeaten in their last six away from home, will need a huge improvement to take anything from the game. Travelling supporters are reminded that the contest is now ALL TICKET, but that stubs for the original fixture remain valid.
