"I had a good relationship with the supporters at Coventry and I'm looking forward to going back there," Dowie told the club's official website.
"We need to make sure we're tough to beat and difficult to break down.
"We proved we can do it at Bristol City and again at Norwich on Wednesday and now we need to prove we can do it again."
