Bean & Miller To Leave

Last updated : 19 January 2006 By Mark O' Haire
Bean is in talks with League One side Blackpool about a possible switch to the north-west but is holding out for a call from former Rangers assistant Kenny Jackett’s high-flying Swansea City. Bean spent two successful loan spells in South Wales and made no secret of his desire to make the move permanent. But it is Blackpool who have moved first for the defensive midfielder and could complete a deal as early as next week. Meanwhile former Aldershot star Adam Miller is talking to League Two Oxford United. Miller played in a reserve game for the U’s earlier this week impressing the Kassam Stadium’s officials. Agents from both players are thrashing out final details in what is likely to be an undisclosed fee. Elsewhere, Ian Evatt has pledged his future to Rangers after recent threats from Ian Holloway suggesting he may be sold. In a private meeting, the former Chesterfield skipper was told to improve or he’ll be shown the door after six months at the club. Evatt has been less than impressive since breaking into the side and his inconsistent displays brought strong public criticism from the Rangers boss. Both parties agreed to see where the situation is in the summer after Evatt promised to stay and fight for his place at the club, a statement Holloway was known to be pleased by. Holloway has also told the official site that they are still scouring the transfer market for other targets but if the price is not right they will wait until the summer to continue interest. Wayne Andrews is keen to leave Crystal Palace and may be a short term alternative to current Bournemouth star James Hayter up front. Both players have been linked with moves to Loftus Road since the transfer window opened in January. QPR MAD will bring you up-to-date with all events from Loftus Road.
