The Boeing 737 took off from Cardiff at 2.30pm but 20 mins later there was a problem with a cracked windscreen and the plane was forced to land at Bournemouth.

After swapping planes the Welsh squad headed to the Czech Republic.

Good luck to Paul as wales face the Czech's on Saturday and then Brazil in a friendly next Tuesday.

Quote of the day goes to the representative of the charter company.

Ken Dyer from the charter firm said no-one had been in any danger.

He said: "We found them a replacement plane because it is easier to do that than replace the windscreen - you can't just call out Autoglass."

The plane's pilot, David Attwood, added: "These things happen very rarely, but when they do we are all trained to cope with the situation."
