Queens Park Rangers are in the hat for this Saturday's draw for the second round of the LDV Vans Trophy after a 2-0 home win over Third Division Kidderminster Harriers.

QPR were always in control of this match despite the best efforts of an organised Harriers team.

Poor finishing and some inspired keeping from Stuart Brock kept the home team at bay until five minutes before the break.

Rangers got the breakthrough when Richard Pacquette swept in an Eric Sabin cut back into the bottom corner from the edge of the box.

The second half never really got going as QPR again had the lions share of possession and chances, but were unable to break down a resolute Kidderminster defence until 10 minutes to go when Arthur Gnohere out-jumped the Harriers defence to head home an in-swinging corner.

“I am delighted with the way that the lads played tonight," said Ian Holloway. "Kidderminster made it very hard for us and did their manager proud tonight.

"We are through to the next round and I don't care who we get. I am just glad to win because winning is a good habit to get into."
