QPR 0 Brentford 0

It was always a long shot we'd make the play-offs. We'll probably end up with enough points to have secured a place in others seasons, but this time around it's not to be. "Next year, we'll be champions"? We'll have to see, but we should definitely end higher than this season.

Brentford just about shaded the match, but there wasn't too much in it. For 90 minutes it was a midfield scrap, with neither team really deserving to win. Man of the moment Jerome Thomas was marked by two players all afternoon, and if he's kept quiet, our creativity seems to be cut in half.

Nobody had a great game, nobody was that poor either, but fittingly Terrel Forbes gets my man of the match award, to cap a season where he's been voted player of the season from all parties — I'll take this opportunity to add ITL to that list. Well done that man.

Good luck to Brentford as well. They've never done me any harm (except Mr Noades), and must possess one of the least offensive sets of supporters in the country. If they get promoted, then QPR will be the lowest placed west London club when only a few years ago we ruled supreme. Our day will come again. If you take much notice of what Ian Holloway says about QPR, it's hard not to think anything else.

If rumours are true, the next time QPR play at Loftus Road, Celtic will be the visitors, followed by Tottenham, West Ham and Fulham (understandably really). Counting the days already...

QPR: Evans 6 – Forbes 8, Palmer 7, Shittu 7, Bignot 7 – Thomas 7, Peacock 6, Rose 6, Langley 6 – Gallen 7, Foley 6 (74mins Thomson 6). SNU: Digby, Murphy, Griffith, Agogo.
