Richard Langley's 81st minute winner confined Crewe to the bottom of the Championship table.

Ian Holloway's QPR side's second-half fightback saw them overturn a 3-2 interval deficit to win a seven-goal thriller at the Gresty Road.

The Hoops' win moved them up in the 13th in the table.

Crewe, had enjoyed the better of the first 45 minutes, Eddie Johnson sending a right-footed volley wide of Simon Royce's goal in the first minute.

Home keeper Ross Turnbull then had to be alert had to keep out a long-range Shabazz Baidoo effort. Crewe took the lead when Gary Roberts fed Johnson who slotted the ball past Royce.

Rangers were handicapped when injury forced midfielder Marc Bircham off and they could have fallen further behind when Steve Jones cracked a drive goalwards ten minutes before the break.

But Royce made a super stop to deny theNorthern Ireland International forward.

But then the Londoners went ahead with two goals inside three minutes.

Lee Cook levelled the scores with a shot after 35 minutes and then Baidoo steered home to put Rangers ahead.

Luke Varney, who replaced the injured Johnson, made an immediate impact when he latched on to a pass from Jones and converted to make it 2-2 after 39 minutes.

Billy Jones restored Crewe's lead on the stroke of half-time, finishing at close range, but the Londoners upped the tempo in the second half and Martin Rowlands' long-range effort drew them level again.

Then Langley came up with the winner of an end to end tussle with nine minutes left on the clock.
