'We Need A Goalscorer'

The Rangers caretaker boss thought that the team had performed well but the lack of a proven goalscorer had been pivotal in the 1-0 defeat to The Iron.

"We need a goalscorer. The game should have been out of sight before Scunthorpe got the goal," he said after the game at Loftus Road.

"Up to the penalty box, I thought we were excellent. I'm very disappointed with the result, but there were positives to take from it.

"I asked for an effort from the players and I certainly got that. If we play like that in every game between now and the end of the season then we'll be fine.

"The last couple of results have not helped my cause, but they have made me stronger and more determined to improve the team."
