A victory in front of the TV cameras would move Rangers seven points clear of Cardiff at the top of the table, but Malky Mackay's side are unbeaten in three matches and sank Leicester 3-2 in their last outing.
"I'm a big fan of Malky Mackay," said Warnock.
"I like what he does and the way he goes about his job and I think it will be a tough game, but then they all are.
"You can't tell me there is one game that isn't tough."
