Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock has offered defender Moritz Volz a contract until the end of the season.Volz, 27, has been without a club since being released by Fulham last summer following a long spell on the sidelines with a persistent groin injury.

He was on trial at Loftus Road prior to Warnock's appointment as boss.

Having had a chance to assess the player, Warnock said: "Moritz has done really well. I've made him an offer, but he has options abroad."

Volz, who played 146 times for Fulham and ended last season on loan at Ipswich, is also considering an offer from a Danish club.

Meanwhile, Warnock is set to appoint Kevin Randall as QPR's first full-time chief scout for more than six years.

Randall, 64, currently chief scout at Warnock's former club Crystal Palace, also worked with him at Sheffield United.
