Tofas earns Rangers deal

QPR boss Neil Warnock has handed a contract to Cypriot trialist Georgios Tofas. The 21-year-old former AEK Athens midfielder has agreed a deal until the end of the season following his release by Cyprus club Anorthosis Famagusta. "Georgios is somebody who has excited me when I have watched him," Warnock told Rangers' official website. "He looks like our type of player. He can take men on, yet he knows he has to work hard for the team. He's got the right work ethic. "The chance to bring him in until the end of the season was too good an opportunity for me to turn down." The deal is subject to international clearance and Tofas will have to wait to make his debut as he is currently carrying a minor hamstring injury.
