Surprise exits and confusion over Thomson

The departures of both McEwen and Leaburn came as something of a surprise — it was never revealed, or so I believe, that McEwen had only signed a six-month contract, whilist Leaburn was only with the club for 10 days and must hold the shortest QPR career on record with just five minutes as a sub against Reading. I can only imagine something must have happened behind the scenes for him to be released so soon, not that I'm particularly upset about him leaving.

As for Andy Thomson, his non-appearance against Bury started rumours flying around the ground that he was up in Scotland holding talks with Motherwell about a proposed move. According to Ian Holloway though, he failed a late fitness test at 1.00pm. Did anyone actually see him at the game? I hope his future with QPR is sorted out one way or another very soon as the situation is very unsettling for fans, especially when we're set for a bash at promotion and need a steady ship and as good a first team as possible.
