Search for a new striker continues

Reports today suggest that Chievo Verona striker Erjon Bogdani has turned down a move to Loftus Road. Bogdani is an Albanian international with 49 caps and 9 goals for his country, who was signed for around 3 million pounds in sterling, by Chievo in 2007. He was relegated from Serie A with Chievo in 2007 and then again with Liverno, while on loan in Serie A during the following season.

Rangers fans who were at the pre-season friendly game against Chievo will remember him as the man who opened the scoring, slotting home calmly after controlling the ball nicely on his chest. With Patrick Agyemang and Rowan Vine both injured for the next few months at least, QPR will probably need an extra striker to support Helguson, Blackstock and Di Carmine, especially if they are serious about pushing for promotion.

Who that man is, if he does come in, remains to be seen however, with rumours earlier in the month suggesting Leroy Lita was on his way to Loftus Road. Which realistic target would you bring to the club?
