Saturday review

Chris Day dropped, half-time boos, three successive defeats... we haven't been in that position in quite a while.
Thank god were now out of it. A comfortable win over 23rd place Notts County was made to look a little more tough to the neutral who reads the papers for the scores.
A pretty poor first half, epitomised by some booing from the home crowd saw Rangers soldier in at half-time goalless. Despite Martin Rowlands, Kevin Gallen, Tony Thorpe and Marc Bircham's best efforts. Full credit goes to County keeper Stuart Garden who was excellent in his efforts.
Bircham again went VERY close to scoring, yes twice in one game he had a stunning shot stopped. Keep trying Birch it'l come soon.
Gino hit the bar with a whipped free-kick, and we all thought "We've seen this before, 0-0 or County will nick a late winner".
No, Martin Rowlands' effors were rewarded when he set up both goals for Kevin McLeod and Tony Thorpe with his wizzard-like runs.
County rarely threatened and there goals were both against the run of play. Poor marking on there second goal should be looked at, but Paul Furlong came on, looked sharp and scored a cracker. A neat turn and shot rattled into the back of the net. Clearly, Thorpy, Gallen and Furs have been spured on by Jamie Jamie Cureaton's arrival.
Curo came on for the final three minutes playing in a left hand role, didn't have a chance to influence the game despite ironic cheers when touching the ball for the first time on the final whistle.
Now the rot has been stopped with a much needed win, we need to sort the away form out starting at Brentford next week.
Come on R's, Plymouth starting to falter, Bristol are starting there attack, time to deliver and pull away from the pack!
