Rose, who joined the Rs from Arsenal in 1997, made 237 appearances during his Loftus Road career.

He was one of a number of players recently told he had no future at the club. And on Saturday, Rangers announced they had terminated his contract.

Meanwhile, Rangers and Luton have been charged by the FA with "failing to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion".

The charge follows a melee during the FA Cup third-round replay in which Stefan Bailey was sent off for a challenge on Luton's Ahmet Brkovic.
Both clubs have until 12 February to respond to the charge.

Bailey has admitted a charge of improper conduct and has a personal hearing on 13 February.
