Rose joins list

Both he and Clarke Carlisle will be tested before the squad heads up to the Wirral for the game against Brian Little's FA Cup quarter-finalists.

Carlisle has yet to train this week after spraining his ankle during the game against Peterborough and is rated 50/50 for the Tranmere game.

But Rose is less likely to take part, giving Ian Holloway another potential selection headache.

Should both fail to recover in time, Ollie will have to shuffle his pack once again with Steve Palmer or even Marien Ifura possible partners for Arthur Gnohere in central defence.

Further up the field, Ollie has been handed better news, with both Martin Rowlands and Richard Johnson on course to return.

Rowlands is a definite starter and will return to the right side of midfield, while Johnson has recovered from his ankle knock and will be challenging for a place in the middle.
