Rangers v Blackpool. Match preview

Last updated : 30 September 2008 By Simon Davies

The winger recovered from a slight hip injury to come on as a substitute during Saturday's 2-0 defeat by Derby and may start should boss Iain Dowie opt to make changes.

Fellow midfielder Akos Buzsaky, who is just back from an ankle injury, or on-loan Real Madrid youngster Daniel Parejo could make way.

Dowie has a virtually fully-fit squad to choose from so the likes of Hogan Ephraim, Angelo Balanta, Patrick Agyemang and Samuel Di Carmine will also push to be involved following Rangers' first home defeat of the season.

Striker Rowan Vine is the only absentee as he continues his rehabilitation from a broken leg.

Blackpool manager Simon Grayson will assess the fitness of striker Daniel Nardiello ahead of the clash.

The former Barnsley man has made just two substitute appearances since signing the Seasiders from QPR in August.

He has been dogged by a series of niggling injuries and a groin strain ruled him out of Saturday's 1-1 home draw with Coventry.

Nardiello will be assessed closer to kick-off but defender Zesh Rehman cannot play against Iain Dowie's side under the terms of his loan agreement from Loftus Road.

Grayson named an unchanged side for the draw with Coventry and will again be without striker Stephen McPhee, midfielder Jermaine Wright and defender Stephen Crainey.

However, McPhee is edging closer to fitness after a calf injury and could be in contention for a return against Cardiff this weekend.
