Rangers Trial Villa Keeper

The Republic of Ireland Under 21 international keeper, who spent the whole of last season on loan at Notts County and who recently had a trial at Bristol City, is to train with the Hoops over the next few days and play in the pre-season friendly against Charlton this weekend.

"QPR have been expressing an interest in Wayne for some time,'' Villa goalkeeping coach Eric Steele told his club's official website.

"He will train with the club for two days and then will be available for selection for QPR's game with Charlton at the weekend.

"We will then review the situation when our pre-season tour is over."
