Borrowdale incredibly has failed to start a game since his loan move from Coventry but he signed a three and a half year deal at Loftus Rd.

A fee of around £700,000 is thought to have been paid.

Heidar Helguson has had a more dramatic impact during his loan spell from Bolton. He's played 7 games scoring three goals and he get a 2 and a half year deal.

Helguson told the club's official website, www.qpr.co.uk: "I have really enjoyed my loan spell here and I am happy that my future is sorted out.

"I believe we have a great opportunity to push on in the second half of the season and I am looking forward to playing my part in what promises to be an exciting future for this club."

Manager Paulo Sousa said: "Heidar has proved to be a valuable addition to the squad in recent weeks and I am delighted we've managed to bring him here on a permanent deal."
