He is yet to agree personal terms but Athletic are keen to seal a deal for Daly after he impressed on a "work experience" deal with Gravesend and Northfleet recently.
Daly has made 10 appearences for Rangers and was recalled from his spell at Grays because of injury problems at Loftus Road. He was a non-playing substitute at the Fitness First Stadium on Saturday for the 1-0 defeat at Bournemouth.
