Any possible deal could be complicated by the takeover issues at Stoke.
Henry is out of contract this summer and found himself dropped from the team after failing to sign a new contract. Becuase of his age (23) he doesn't qualify for a Bosman but the clubs would have to agree a compensation package.
Speaking about his exclusion he said
"I find it difficult to believe I was dropped that sharply for any other reason. I had a couple of bad games, like everybody does, but on the whole I felt I did all right.
"It was difficult with Dave Brammer and Darel Russell being first choices to stamp my authority. I need to be playing week-in and week-out if I can and make a few noises, whether at Stoke or somewhere else."
