POWELL AND MOORE BOTH LINKED

The former England international is a free agent after being released by Premiership bound West Ham.

Ian Holloway is looking to strengthen the left hand side of his defence and sees Powell as an excellent addition should the move arise.

The experienced 35-year old has been talking to various Championship sides including Leicester and Hull with Holloway also expressing his interest in the player through his agent.

Powell has only been a free agent for just over a week and is in no rush to find a new club with plenty of interested parties to talk to.

Meanwhile, Ian Holloway has also spoken to Aston Villa about the availability of bringing striker Stefan Moore to Loftus Road in time for next season.

A permanent move looks unlikely as Villa will be asking for in excess of £500,000 and still regard the 21-year old as a promising youngster with a bright future at Villa Park.

Instead Holloway will be looking for a loan deal to favour both clubs and player in time for kick-off in August.
