Ollie's mixed feelings

With the possible absence of Matthew Rose and Clarke Carlisle adding to an injury list already containing a number of important players, Ollie will be forced to shuffle his pack once again.

As he told QPR World, it is a situation he could do without.

He said: "It's the story of our life at the moment. If these two (Rose and Carlisle) aren't fit we're going to be one short again and I'm fed up with it.

"We haven't been able to look at the team we're going to play in training, or pick the same team for seven games in a row now. I don't even know who's travelling.

"You feel happy as the gaffer when everything is nailed down, but we haven't been able to do this."

With Plymouth and Bristol City heaping the pressure on QPR, Rangers are desperate for a win at Prenton Park on Saturday afternoon.

Despite grabbing a last-gasp goal against Peterborough a week ago, victories for the top two ensured the gap between Rangers and the West Country teams widened.

Nevertheless, and despite his injury worries, Ollie remains upbeat about his side's chances at Tranmere and for the remainder of the season.

He said: "The crowd went in to the players (at the Peterborough game), but we clawed it back and we could easily have won the game.

"We must keep in perspective what we want to achieve and we still have every chance of doing it.

"Tranmere are on a decent run. Brian Little has some good players and we'll have our work cut out.

"But whatever we're left with, we'll be a decent side. The players have had a good, lively morning (in training) and they've enjoyed what they've done. I'm quite excited about how it went."
