Ollie's comments from Friday

Ian Holloway was remaining positive after Kevin Gallen grabbed an injury time equaliser to take a share of the points against Peterborough.

The Rangers manager had been forced to make two late changes to his starting line up, the second time in as many games, with both Chris Day and Martin Rowlands failing late fitness tests.

And when Rangers central defender Clarke Carlisle went down injured immediately following a triple substitution by the Rangers boss in the 59th minute, the Rangers boss thought it may have been turning in to just one of ‘those nights’.

“Things haven’t exactly gone our way lately. With McLeod last week falling ill just before kick-off, and Day and Rowlands having to be taken off the team sheet late in the day tonight.

“Then when Clarke went down just after we had taken a gamble - I thought 'here we go'. But we dug in and worked hard, and Clarke in the end played a big part in our goal.”

And when Kevin Gallen levelled the scores in the dying moments of the game, the Rangers manager thought it was nothing more than Rangers deserved.

“Kev was brave enough to take his chance on his left, he had missed a few just prior to that. You know, it could be just the point that gets us up – it just depends on how you look at it.

“Some people are getting a little negative at the moment. But this is where the fans have to get behind us.

“Are we too big to draw a couple of games, and lose a couple? Some people have forgotten that we almost lost the club. There is a hell of a lot of people around this club who care about it – and I am one of them.

“We should all feel very proud of what we’ve done up to now, and it's still there if we want it. It’s all about digging in and we dug in tonight to nick a point – but I believed we were going to get all three.

“I felt they were hanging on for grim death in the end, and I think they were happy to get away with a point. Let’s be honest – they probably hoped they were going to win it – but look at the stats.”
