Ollie's after match thoughts

After three straight defeats, Ian Holloway was delighted to get back to winning ways with victory against Notts County.

Three second half goals, from Kevin McLeod, Tony Thorpe and Paul Furlong, earned Rangers three important points and Ollie was pleased with the way his players responded to their poor run of late.

"This was a big win for us. If I had another 11 player I could have dropped them all after last week, but it's all about your next game and we were as good as we have been for a couple of months."

Ollie admitted that he would look to shake things up after the defeat at Chesterfield and he believes that this had a positive effect.

"It worked. Paul Furlong looked really sharp and hungry when he came on and Chris Day will realise what he had and he'll want it back.

"Martin Rowlands had a real zip back in his play and Gino looked much sharper as well."

This victory closes the gap on Plymouth at the top, following their goalless draw against Bournemouth - but Ollie isn't concerned with that.

He says that his main priority is to shore up his defence and stop conceding goals. He was disappointe to let two goals in today and confirmed that he is hoping to bring new players in to the club.

"We need to get clean sheets, because I believe that we'll always score. I'm looking to strengthen the squad because the last time we lost key players for a long period (Carlisle & Langley) we got relegated."
