Ollie- it was surreal

Rangers came back from two goals down, and a battering from the elements, to earn a draw and move two points clear of Bristol City who lost at Oldham.

And according to Holloway, the weather dominated proceedings.

He said: "It was a really surreal day. I've never seen wind affect a football match like that before - not even in my amateur days."

Ollie believed that his side took too long to adjust in the first half, but was glad to see his players make amends in the second period.

He said: "We nearly pulled this one out of the fire, but we need to recognise how to win different games. I felt we wasted 45 minutes.

"We should have had enough experience to sort it out in the first half, but full credit to them - this could turn out to be a vital point."

Ollie admitted that whilst he was frustrated with his side's performance in first half, he knew that he had to use his half time team talk wisely.

He also had every confidence in his side's ability to bounce back.

He said: "It was the most bizarre half time experience of my life. I wanted to scream and shout - but I also didn't think it was necessary. I just knew we'd get back in it.

"I believed in the players and we showed all sorts of character to get back in to the game."

Holloway now turns his attentions to Luton Town and the game at Loftus Road next Saturday.

Marc Bircham will be suspended, but with Marcus Bean back to full fitness and Steve Palmer champing at the bit, Ollie has plenty of options at his disposal.
