Gareth Ainsworth will miss three further weeks through injury. The right-sided winger has got a badly bruised bone on his foot- thankfully its not broken.
Jamie Cureaton has again been linked to a move to QPR after Sunderland boss Mick McCarthy rejected signing him. These rumours however are mainly coming from word of mouth rather than good sources. These coinside with unbelivable rumours that Fulham are after Rangers legend Kevin Gallen to replace Louis Saha. These are simply ludicrous and not worth commenting more on.
Following this West Ham have been linked with Chris "Daisey" Day after David James' move to Manchester. The Hammers have no established goal-keeper and Steven Bywater will step up for their game at Sheffield United on Saturday. Daisey has been linked as a possible replacement following his heroics in goal at Rangers as Alan Pardew has been promised money to spend. West Ham are also apparently still watching Martin Rowlands and also defender Clarke Carlisle who is out-of-contract in the summer.
Word of mouth has it that Ian Holloway is looking to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window and is looking for a wide sided player. Names buzzing around at the moment are of a return for Richard Langley, ex loanee Jerome Thomas from Arsenal and Richie Partridge, an irish youth international from Liverpool who has had a spell on loan at Coventry. Partridge is currently sidelined with a long term injury leaving Thomas the more likely mover.
Finally, BBC Sport reported that Halleem Kherallah has put a renewed offer into the Loftus Road board about taking over at the helm. His renewed bid include taking over Chris Wright's 16% of shares. There has been no official comment from the board.
