QPR midfielder Kieron Dyer looks set for another lengthy spell on the sidelines after manager Neil Warnock revealed on Friday he has picked up another long-term injury.
The 32-year-old, who has been plagued by serious injuries, was thought to be making good progress on what was originally diagnosed as a short-term problem, but he has suffered a relapse as well as a new foot injury.
Dyer, who signed on a free transfer this summer, has played six minutes for Rangers after suffering an ankle injury which he suffered on his debut against Bolton.
"It's not looking good for Kieron and it looks as if he will need a lengthy rehab," Warnock told the Fulham Chronicle.
"There seems to be new ligament problem at the front of his foot, and he has been in a lot of pain.
"I feel for the lad, especially after the training and effort he's made to get back."
Warnock added: "There has been talk we should maybe think of finding Kieron another club at Christmas, bearing in mind we have a number of new players.
"But I would like to keep him until the end of the season - he deserves that at least."
