LANGLEY COMING HOME?

The former R’ has been told he can leave the Bluebirds on a cut-price fee of around £50,000 and have alerted Ian Holloway about the Jamaican internationals availability.

Holloway is unlikely to jump straight in however after recent bids to sign the player were thwarted due to Langley’s current wage at Cardiff.

He is thought to be earning around £7,000 a week at Ninian Park and to secure a move back to West London, Langley would need to take a steep pay cut for Holloway even to consider the move.

Stoke City are the other interested party and are waiting to see the developments with Rangers before they make a concrete offer.

Last week Langley said:

'I'm on my way out of Ninian Park.
'Of course I'm sad, it's the end of an era for me.
'I've enjoyed my time at Cardiff and met a lot of nice people. But it could also be the start of something special for me now to move onto. 'I'm raring to go and willing to prove myself - if not to this manager then to another one. 'There have been a couple of inquiries for me the manager has made me aware of, but I'm not going to take the first offer that comes my way.
'The deal has to be right.'
'If it comes to the end of August and it looks like the manager won't play me then I'll have to fix something up,' he says. 'I can't be stuck on the bench or in the reserves until January. It's a critical time in my career, I must be playing. 'But if Dave Jones gives me the opportunity to play in the Cardiff first team again I would grab it with both hands. 'I'm back on track fitness wise after an ankle injury, I'm training hard and I'm raring to go.'
