Kevin Gallen is looking forward to the new season and Rangers playing a division higher and has set his sights on firing the R’s into the playoffs.

The local born Rangers fan, a cult hero at the club, was Rangers’ top marksmen last season with 17 goals believes the R’s can push on from last season and suprise a few people.

"The main thing will be to go for the playoffs. It’s no good going up and just hoping you are going to survive and avoid relegation. I am sure we will get some new players and hopefully we can make an impact".

Gallen hopes he can help fire the R’s into the Premiership before his career is over. The "magic man" started of his career alongside Les Ferdinand spearheading the frontline when the Rangers were a force and believes they can still make it.

"Were under good management with Ian and heading in the right direction. I just hope I get another crack at the Premierhip with Rangers" said Gallen.

Rangers’ pre-season preparations see them touring Scotland as well as playing games against Bristol Rovers and the big one at home to Ajax.
