"There's no way we would let him go as he's very close to being in our starting line-up," Jewell said.
"If he gets a chance, there's no reason to think he won't take some shifting. That is the beauty of having three quality centre-halves here.
"He is out of contract at the end of the season but I will look to offer him another," he told the club website
