Simon Royce has a niggling back problem whilst Jake Cole was forced to miss a behind close doors friendly with Tottenham.
Ian Holloway said:
“As things stand, I don't have a keeper. It's a worrying situation.
"Simon had to come off against Birmingham on Saturday and Jake wasn't able to play in a practice game."
A move to sign Aston Villa stopper Wayne Henderson (21) was thwarted after the club’s could not agree a fee, leaving Rangers short on cover for the goalkeeper’s jersey.
"We're seeing if we can get someone in before the weekend. Hopefully we'll sort something out in time," Holloway added.
Elsewhere, new signing Ian Evatt looks to be out of action for about a month and will certainly miss Saturday’s opener.
Lee Cook, Gareth Ainsworth and Dean Sturridge are all struggling with knock’s but should recover.
