I still want to be a Ranger

The 20-year-old striker has scored one goal in five appearances for Rangers this season as well as starting against the Daggers in the LDV Vans Trophy, but now he is happy to be getting some first team action for the Essex outfit.

"I’m enjoying my time at Dagenham," said Pacquette. "They are a good set of lads and I’m getting a few games under my belt."

Pacquette’s QPR career has been something of a rollercoaster. When he has broken into the first team he has performed reasonably well, but injuries have cost him his place and when back to fitness he has found himself well down the pecking order. That doesn’t seem to worry the youngster when it comes to returning to Loftus Road when his loan spell is up at the end of the month.

"It would be nice to extend my stay but if I have to go back, I have to go back. It’s not down to me." He continued: "I’m only 20 and the gaffer (Ian Holloway) thinks highly of me. I’ve got good forwards in front of me with Tony Thorpe, Paul Furlong and Kevin Gallen who are all in form, but my chance will come and when it does I’ll hopefully take it."

Pacquette has grabbed two goals in five games for the Daggers including the equaliser in last week’s FA Trophy replay thriller at Crawley Town, but he knows he still has plenty of time to learn his trade.

"I’m still young and I’m still learning but the coaches think highly of me so I’ve got to keep working hard. When my chance came last year I thought I’d done all right and I’d taken my chance. I scored some goals and played in the play-off final at the Millennium Stadium.

"You never know who’s watching you. I have just got to keep playing my game until the end of the season and whatever happens, happens."
